Teenager Aaron used to look after his sick mother whilst his father Jacob worked day and night to afford her treatment. After her death, Jacob borrows money off his drug-dealing brother Miles to pay back her treatment bills. Buckling under grief, Jacob blames Aaron for her death and physically abuses him.
